Indian Air Force Announces Dronathon 2026 for Advanced Drone Warfare TestingThe Indian Air Force is set to organise Dronathon 2026, a three-day event at the Pokhran range in Rajasthan to test and showcase the latest developments in drone warfare. The event will bring together drone manufacturers, start-ups and defence technology innovators to demonstrate unmanned aerial systems and counter-drone capabilities.

Scheduled from September 14 to 16, the event will focus on technologies that can strengthen surveillance, autonomous operations, swarm capabilities and protection against hostile drones. Live demonstrations will allow defence stakeholders to assess emerging systems under operational conditions.

The initiative also supports India’s push towards greater self-reliance in defence technology by encouraging domestic companies and innovators to develop advanced unmanned systems for future military requirements.
