Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has launched the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana, a welfare scheme aimed at providing financial support to eligible women in the national capital. On 26 August 2026, approval certificates were handed over to beneficiaries in New Delhi. According to the Chief Minister, more than 9.22 lakh women have registered for the scheme since its launch.

Under the scheme, eligible women will receive ₹2,500 per month through financial assistance. The first payment is expected on the 1st of the following month after completion of the required formalities. The assistance is intended to help women meet household expenses, support children’s education and care, and strengthen livelihood or small business activities.
