Hakainde Hichilema, leader of the United Party for National Development (UPND), has been re-elected as President of Zambia for a second consecutive five-year term covering 2026–2031. He won the presidential election held on 13 August 2026 with more than 60% of the vote, defeating opposition candidate Brian Mundubile.
